Meet the distinguished professional jury of the Figaro Awards 2024!

• Club Figaro has revealed the five leading experts who will make up the Professional Jury for the 15th edition of the Figaro Awards, dedicated to Spanish creative hairdressing. This year, the jury is made up of renowned national and international figures.

Patrick Ahmed (France). A passionate and discreet hairdresser, he is known for his teaching, curiosity and vision for the future of hairdressing. His eclectic career includes working with brands such as Chanel and Babyliss Paris, and participating in fashion shows and international shoots. He runs two Medley salons in Paris, known for their urban design and highly professional teams. For 30 years, his artistic hairstyle collections have been photographed in black and white, paying tribute to great photographers. At the Medley Academy, he leads the training of hairdressers. He also organises the Salon Communautaire du Haut in Paris, a key event for hairdressing in France.

Yolanda Aberasturi (Spain). Born in Bilbao, she has been in the hairdressing sector for 30 years. She opened her first salon in 1993 and currently has three: two in the centre of Bilbao and one in Getxo, with a team of 35 people. Her fashion work appears in magazines and her clientele includes celebrities such as Isabel Presley and Maribel Verdú, among others. She has been selected by L'Oréal Professionnel for international collections and is known for her innovative "Chocolate Hairstyles". Yolanda produces two trend collections a year and her approach is based on beauty, comfort and fashion, inspired by catwalks in Paris, New York, London, Barcelona and Madrid.

Petra Mechurova (Czech Republic). She has enjoyed a successful hairdressing career, winning competitions in the Czech Republic and internationally, showcasing her skills through captivating shows. As an ambassador for L'Oréal Professionnel, she is passionate about creating beautiful hairstyles and sharing her knowledge through training. Leading a team of 20 stylists in Prague, their salon is renowned for its work in fashion photography and client diversity. With 23 years of experience, she collaborates with Czech actors, broadening her creative horizons. As the first woman to win an AIPP Grand Trophy in 2009, she balances her fulfilling career with being a proud parent of two children.

Viktoriia Vradii (Ukraine). In twenty years of hairstyling, he has never stopped growing professionally, as there is no room for stagnation in this field. During this time, he has achieved several notable successes. He has twice won in the Men’s Hairstyle category at the Ukrainian Cup. In 2021, he was awarded the Winner Cut & Colour title at the International Visionary Award, competing against participants from 40 countries. Participating in the Alternative Hair Shows Legends and Tapestry in London provided him with invaluable experience. In 2022, he represented Ukraine at the British Hairdressing Awards, earning the title of International Hairdresser of the Year.

Danilo Giangreco (UK). For over 20 years, Danilo has been at the forefront of the hairdressing industry. An internationally renowned award-winning hairstylist and salon owner in central London, UK. Inspired by his Italian heritage, Danilo is known for his meticulous attention to detail, his creative talent and tasteful touch has taken him to shoot for magazines like Wonderland and Paper Magazine and gained the attention of global brands such as Revlon Professional, of which he is now an Artistic Ambassador.

The Figaro Catwalk and Awards Ceremony will be held on Monday 21 October, within the framework of Salón Look IFEMA MADRID.
